Dodgem By Design was among the elite eight greyhounds named to the 2002 All America Team. Dodgems career spanned three years on the prestigious
Derby Lane/Tampa greyhound circuit. Dodgem’s signature performance was in the Stakes Final of the 2002 $85,000 Sprint Classic at Derby Lane, Dodgem held off the legendary Talented Mr Ripley and in the process became the only greyhound to halt Kiowa Sweet Trey’s winning spree during his 2002 tenure at Derby Lane.
Dodgem repeated this performance in the Matinee Idol, beating a stellar field that included All Americans Courageous Nicky and Talented Mr Ripley, along with multiple stakes winner Stan’s Boy Flyer.
